This juicy fruit is native to China, who is the world’s largest producer. They come in 2 varieties- clingstone (flesh sticks to the pit) or freestone (flesh easily separates from the pit). They’re in season between July and August so get your peach fix while you can! Although they are most popular for pies, cobblers, and jams, peaches are highly versatile. Eat them as a snack, blend with yogurt for a quick smoothie, use as a sweet salad topping, to top yogurt, cottage cheese or oatmeal, or even try them grilled!
